Job Objectives
- To develop III-V semiconductor etch, clean tech andLapping processes and capabilities aligned to company's technology and product roadmap and integrated with in-house manufacturing capabilities.
- Define process andequipment roadmap for photonics related Etch, Clean tech and Lapping processes.Support of new technology prototype process set up and demonstration. Transferof process to manufacturing counterpart upon maturity. Involve in new equipment selection, evaluation and start up.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Knowledge of Etch chemistries, Recipe design, RF power basics, Vacuum basics, Etch chamber dependencies, Gas flow kinetics
- Develop & Execute III-V etch recipes (Indium Phosphide, GaAs), dielectric etch (SiN, SiO2, SiON, others) and Ashing recipes.
- Knowledge of clean tech chemistries for III-V compounds including gold wet etch and others.
- .Develop clean tech chemistries for III-V compounds.
- .Ownership of Lapping and backgrind processes that cover operationalize, process improvement plans, Cost saving opportunities.
- Knowledge of process characterization techniques inclusive of dimensional conformance and surface condition outcome
- Manage and improve Etch and Clean Tech process stability and control through SPC , tool and product monitoring for consistent yields.
- Knowledge of DOE tools, problem solving techniques (8D, Fishbone, Is/Is not, FMEA, Cuase & Effect analysis)
- Closely monitor status of all Etch and clean tech equipments and work with equipment team to resolve any arising equipment issues
- Certification of operators performing any etch and clean tech processes to ensure compliance to established qualified processes.
- Execute development & improvements plans by ensuring that manufacturing processes, procedures, and associated process validations, inclusive of improvement of process flow, part manufacturability process capabilities with LEAN methodology
- Maintain current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned, and participate in special projects as required.
- Should know New tool / back up tool qualification procedures, process streamlining and standardization.
Qualification Guidelines
Minimum Education
Bachelor or higher degree
Minimum Experience
A minimum 5 years of experience in Etch and Clean Tech wafer fabrication processes with some experience in process development, operations management in the field of photonics and Si based semiconductors
Specific Knowledge / Skills
Possesses strong communication skills and the ability to coordinate cross-functionally with R&D, Quality and Operations,
Understanding process validations. Experience using Lean Manufacturing tools. Strong knowledge of Etch and Clean Tech processes.
