Key Responsibilities:
. Research and Development: Conduct research and development activities to identify new ideas and technologies that can be used to develop new products or processes.
. Concept Development: Participate in the development of new concepts, design features, and product specifications. Designing and developing new embedded systems, ensuring that they
meet performance and quality requirements.
. Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams including mechanical engineers, software engineers, and product Managers to define and implement initiatives.
. Design and Test: Through the evaluation of design and testing results, recommend improvements to the design, firmware and software for embedded systems and testing
procedures.
. Project Management: Oversee project schedules and budgets to ensure project milestones are met on time and within budget constraints.
. Development of Prototypes: Design, develop, and test prototypes to ensure they meet the specifications and requirements of engineering teams and stakeholders.
. Reports and Documentation: Produce reports and documentation to outline the design, development, testing, and analysis of prototypes.
. Compliance: Ensure that all products, materials, or equipment developed are compliant with industry standards and regulations.
. Process Improvement: Through the identification of best practices, recommend ways to improve the R&D process and ultimately increase the efficiency of the overall project.
. Perform other duties as assigned
The job incumbent should possess:
A Masters or PhD in Engineering or a closely related field with at least 5 years of relevant industry or academic experience.
Strong oral and written communication abilities, with the capability to present complex ideas clearly and effectively.
Demonstrated experience in applying structured problem-solving tools and methodologies (e.g., Root Cause Analysis, Six Sigma, Fishbone Diagram, 5 Whys).
