About the role

Reporting to the Lead Process Engineer, you will take responsibility within our project team for the handling of all process challenges from the design phase till the completion and handover to the client.

Job Description

• Lead end-to-end process design from concept, basic, and detailed design phases through to implementation, commissioning, and handover.
• Develop and review key process deliverables, including PFDs, P&IDs, process calculations, equipment sizing, utility balances, and technical specifications.
• Define process system design based on user requirements (URS), including capacity calculations and system architecture for industrial and biopharma applications.
• Conduct and lead design reviews with clients and internal stakeholders, ensuring alignment with project scope, standards, and best practices.
• Support tendering activities, including cost estimation, technical proposal preparation, and evaluation of vendor and subcontractor submissions.
• Review and approve vendor and subcontractor designs, ensuring compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Oversee construction, installation, and commissioning activities, ensuring systems are delivered in line with design intent, schedule, and quality expectations.
• Monitor start-up activities, troubleshoot design and site issues, and provide technical solutions to ensure successful system performance.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards, including participation in risk assessments and process hazard reviews.
• Mentor junior engineers, support knowledge development, and contribute to continuous improvement, industry engagement, and internal engineering standards.

Job Requirement

• Master's or Bachelor's degree in Civil, Industrial, Chemical, Mechanical or Bio-Engineering, with a specialization in biotech process and/or Clean Utilities engineering
• 4-5 years of work experience as a process engineer in the mission critical facility industry
• First experience in construction and commissioning / qualification is an asset
• Knowledge in line sizing simulation tools, engineering codes or construction experience is considered an asset
• You are committed, flexible, creative, assertive, communicative, motivated and well-organized
• You like working in a team but you can also function in an independent and safe way, you will be able to solve technical issues
