What You'll
- Do Study and verify contractor submissions (overall designs, detailed schematics, etc) on protection-related matters to support the planning phase of projects under Transmission Regional Project sections, Distribution Customer Projects sections, Transmission Network sections or other relevant parties
- Lead witnessing teams to verify contractor-conducted site acceptance tests on protection systems for substation/extension/new-equipment/relay-renewal/other projects under Transmission Regional Project sections or Distribution Customer Projects sections, Transmission Network sections or other relevant parties
- Lead testing teams to perform protection testing services for Transmission Networks sections
- Lead testing teams to perform protection testing services for Distribution Networks sections and Distribution Customer Projects sections
- Perform standby duty and promptly attend to alarms or incidents related to protection systems
- Collate and analyze data and incidents related to protection systems
- Study, document and maintain protection philosophy including but not limited to protection coordination studies and site setup/design, with up-to-date data and findins
- Conduct training and briefing to in-house or external parties on protection-related matters
- Experience with high voltage direct current (HVDC) transmission circuit/equipment's control and protection system in terms of principles, design and specifications, testing and commissioning, and/or field maintenance will be given priority
- To coach and develop a team of engineers in HVDC expertise and build core HVDC expertise in the company
What You'll Need:
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, specializing in protection and control with minimum 10 years of proven track record working in the related industry
- Good analytical skills with a meticulous eye for details
- Able to work well in teams and independently
- Proficiency in communication with English (both writing and speaking).
- Proficiency in the power system software tools, such as PSCAD, Powerfactory, PSSE, etc would be advantageous
