Overview
As a Senior PR Consultant, you are responsible for running client accounts on both executional and strategic levels. As the point man on your accounts, you hold strong relationships with day-to-day and mid-level clients and have a deep understanding of their business. Internally, you will manage your account associates to successfully execute PR campaigns and support your account director in delivering strategic planning and counsel.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the executional point of contact for your clients, proactively leading conversations on day-to-day counsel and work, and owning strong client relationships
- Lead on regular client meetings, presentations, and reporting
- Lead the executional-level team on implementing sound earned and paid PR tactics to drive campaigns to success, while tracking timelines and budgets
- Build and own strong relationships with key media and influencers, acting as the media and influencer expert within your teams
- Proactively create pitching calendars and lead the team in securing stories and responding to media queries
- Review all written materials including press releases and alerts, pitch notes, social media or influencer content, reports and other external communications, with minimal edits required from senior team members
- Proactively build and maintain understanding of shifting mainstream media landscape, popular and emerging social media platforms, and lifestyle influencer trends
- Track and manage your accounts financial processes including contracting, POs, job creation, and billing
- Support the account director in strategic planning, with ownership of smaller-scale execution plans
- Manage MSL regional market teams and partners in consolidation, coordination and client counsel
- Mentor junior team members, providing guidance and support on client work and professional development
- Must be comfortable interfacing with clients, maintaining professional communication, and building strong relationships
Qualifications
- This is a full-time freelance arrangement
- Able to start by mid-March or latest April 2025
- 6 - 10 years experience with Corporate / B2B work (Tradeshow experience would be a bonus)
- Strong PR foundational skills, with a track record in securing earned media coverage and managing paid media/influencer projects
- Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple fast-paced projects and deadlines
- Experience in mentoring and managing associate/executive-level team members
- Can-do positive attitude with a problem-solving mindset
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to craft clear and effective messaging
- Understanding of basic agency financial processes
- Experience in regional accounts is a nice-to-have, particularly in working with SEA markets from a Singapore hub
