Senior Platform Engineer [Real-Time Prediction Systems]
Location: Singapore (Remote)
Our client is an automation-first organization building the core infrastructure for a new category of real-time prediction systems. As a Senior Platform Engineer, you will own the engine underneath the product. Designing and building complete systems end-to-end, from mathematical pricing models to the high-throughput event pipelines that power them.

The Stack
- Backend: TypeScript (Effect.ts), Confluent Kafka, Apache Flink.
- Runtime/Edge: Cloudflare Workers, Durable Objects, Cloudflare D1, AWS ECS/Fargate.
- Infrastructure: Pulumi (IaC), GitHub Actions, OpenTelemetry (SigNoz).
- Data: PostgreSQL, Firebase, and Edge-based datastores.
Key Responsibilities
- Market Engine & Execution: Design and operate the quantitative core of the product, including pricing engines, order pipelines, and user balance ledgers.
- Event-Driven Architecture: Design reliable data flows using Kafka and Flink, ensuring idempotency and reliability at every stage of the pipeline.
- Infrastructure & Security: Manage a distributed multi-cloud environment using Pulumi and oversee systems where race conditions are production incidents, not edge cases.
- Technical Anchor: Lead by example in the codebase, triaging complex issues and maintaining high velocity through advanced automated workflows.
Requirements
- Systems Engineering: Proven experience designing end-to-end systems where numerical precision and financial-grade correctness are paramount.
- Event-Driven Expertise: Strong background in Kafka, Flink, message queues, and transactional outbox patterns.
- TypeScript & FP Mastery: You think in types and are comfortable with (or eager to master) Effect.ts and functional programming paradigms.
- Infrastructure as Code: Experience managing cloud resources (AWS/Cloudflare) through code (ideally Pulumi).
- High Autonomy: A self-directed engineer who thrives in an async-heavy environment and can own a problem from math to production.
Nice to Haves (Strong Plus)
- Experience with prediction markets, market-making algorithms (LMSR/CPMM), or trading systems.
- Deep knowledge of Cloudflare Workers constraints (D1, Durable Objects).
- Experience with observability (OpenTelemetry) and monorepo tooling (NX).
- Familiarity with data privacy frameworks (GDPR) and SOC 2 readiness.
