Senior Platform Engineer Kubernetes & Rancher
Location : Singapore
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Platform Engineer to join our Infrastructure & Platform Engineering team. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in Kubernetes platform management with Rancher, securing containerized workloads using NeuVector, and operating across hybrid and multi-cloud environments. Experience with Harvester or other hyperconverged infrastructure platforms is a strong plus.
This role is critical to designing, deploying, and maintaining modern infrastructure, while enabling secure, scalable, and reliable environments for our application teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and manage Kubernetes clusters with Rancher in production and non-production environments.
- Integrate and operate NeuVector for container security (runtime scanning, policy enforcement, vulnerability management, etc.).
- Implement platform automation using Terraform, Ansible, Helm, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Collaborate with security and networking teams to define and enforce policies across containerized workloads.
- Build and maintain observability platforms (monitoring, logging, alerting, dashboards).
- Partner with development and DevOps teams to deliver reliable platform services.
- Participate in incident response, root cause analysis, and performance optimization.
- (Optional) Contribute to HCI operations and VM orchestration using Harvester.
Required Skills & Experience
- 6+ years in DevOps, SRE, or Platform Engineering roles.
- Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes architecture and operations (v1.20+).
- Proven experience managing production-grade Kubernetes clusters with Rancher.
- Operational expertise with NeuVector and container security best practices.
- Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Helm, Ansible).
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI, Jenkins, ArgoCD).
- Strong background in Linux, networking, and shell scripting.
- Practical knowledge of monitoring/logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Fluentd, ELK, or Loki.
Nice to Have
- Experience with Harvester or other HCI platforms for VM management on bare metal.
- Familiarity with air-gapped or edge deployments.
- Exposure to hybrid/multi-cloud platform operations.
- Certifications: CKA, CKS, Rancher, or equivalent
