A global investment firm is hiring a Senior Platform Engineer to join its international platform engineering team in Singapore. This is a greenfield opportunity to design and build a new Kubernetes platform from the ground up across both on-premises and cloud environments.
This is not simply a deployment or maintenance role. You will take ownership of the platform architecture, build core capabilities and help shape the firm's next-generation infrastructure.
The role:
- Architect and build a production-grade Kubernetes platform from first principles.
- Develop infrastructure across on-premises and cloud environments.
- Build platform tooling and automation using Infrastructure as Code.
- Establish standards across scalability, resilience, security and observability.
- Work with a global engineering team across Europe, the US and APAC.
- Contribute to the long-term technical direction of the platform.
The right profile:
- Senior-level DevOps, Platform or Kubernetes engineering experience.
- Deep understanding of Kubernetes internals and architecture.
- Proven experience building Kubernetes platforms—not only deploying or operating existing clusters.
- Strong experience across both on-premises infrastructure and public cloud.
- Strong coding capability in Python, C#, Java or another object-oriented language.
- Hands-on Infrastructure-as-Code experience.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a distributed global team.
- Financial-services experience is not required.
