Senior Planning Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead the creation, upkeep, and oversight of project schedules utilizing Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project across multiple projects.
• Review contract terms to identify risks, conflicts, and discrepancies propose solutions to mitigate these risks.
• Monitor construction programme progress, identify delay events, and assess their impacts.
• Manage the preparation, submission, and negotiation of Extension of Time (EOT) claims and related contractual documents.
• Generate detailed progress audits and reports, including S-Curves, KPI productivity, and programming health checks.
• Develop baseline schedules encompassing resource and cost loadings.
• Prepare commissioning and construction working programmes for various trades.
• Formulate recovery programmes and present key strategies for project recovery.
• Provide advisory support on post-contract claims, disputes, and litigation regarding programming.
• Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned by management.

Requirements

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 8 to 10 years of experience in planning and scheduling within construction projects.
• Proficient hands-on experience with Primavera P6.
• Strong knowledge of project controls, critical path, delay analysis methodologies, and EOT claims preparation.
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex project schedules and liaise effectively with clients, consultants, and stakeholders.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and presentation skills.
• Team player with a capacity to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Solid understanding of work execution related to methodology, timeframes, and productivity.
