Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Develops and update piping specifications according to P&lD, contract scope of work (i.e. GTD, SOW) and class/rules requirement (ABS, DNV), etc.
  • Builds Caesar II model for pipe stress analysis and Prepares pipe stress philosophy, pipe stress critical line list
  • Analyze calculation output and guide piping deigners
  • Runs pipe stress analysis and conduct checks (stress, deflection, equipment nozzle, flange, fatigue, blast case if applicable)
  • Optimize support load if the load is found too high and provide solutions if stress results fail
  • Generates load restraint summary for pipe support modellers and stress Isometric and/or stress mark up
  • Prepares report for clients and resolve owner comments
  • Issues pipe stress analysis report and perform trunnion calculation
  • Updates Caesar.II model base on modeller feedback/site feedback and conduct all relevant stress checks
  • Verifies types of primary pipe support based on pipe stress analysis results (rest, guide, hold-down and line stopper)
  • Performs visual check and calculate pipe support load for non-critical line
  • Performs Compressor equipment check, Expansion joint check and Spring hanger in stress analysis.
  • Carries out inspection at site and onboard vessel to do as built

Requirements:

  • Minimum Bachelor Degree in Engineering
  • At least 5 year of piping engineering related working experience or similar activities as described above
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products, AutoCAD and Caesar ll Stress Analysis Software
  • Prefer to have experience in Offshore/Shipyard project, Rig building/Ship building, FPSO projects (both topsides & marine)
  • Understand class/rules requirement such as ABS, DNV, etc
  • Understand P&IDs and other related piping items (i.e. equipment specifications, etc)
  • Able to conduct stress checks and piping related checks
  • Able to communicate & write in English
  • Able to work overtime when required
