Responsibilities
- Facilitate the adoption and maintenance of new pharmacy systems and national programs. Provide user support during the implementation of new systems/modules, ensuring smooth transitions. Collaborate with stakeholders for system parameter setups and configurations. Promote interoperability and integration of information and automation systems for medication management. Prepare for system testing using detailed test plans and relevant data. Develop and maintain system specifications to ensure precise configurations. Conduct audits of data entered by users and generate reports for strategic planning. Review and update policies and procedures in collaboration with relevant stakeholders. Participate in workflow discussions to assist in developing training materials. Build medication and clinical decision support configurations in the system. Perform root cause analysis for any medication-related errors linked to pharmacy systems as necessary. Offer suggestions to enhance system functionalities for improved medication safety.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy from a recognized institution. Registration as a Pharmacist with the relevant governing authority. Post-graduate training in healthcare informatics, computer science, business, or a related field (preferred). Minimum of 3 years of relevant clinical or healthcare operations experience. Experience in system implementation, data management, or healthcare informatics is advantageous. Proven ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary stakeholders in clinical, operational, and IT settings. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and competent in Microsoft SQL. Certification or proficiency in relevant healthcare applications or informatics tools is preferred.
