We are now looking for a Patient Service Officer to be part of the team at our Admission & Discharge Services (Day Surgery).
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering a smooth patient journey by involving in patient engagement activities as well as effectively managing admission/discharge paperwork.
Working Hours (2 Rotational Shift):
Monday - Friday: 7am to 4pm or 10am to 7pm. Saturday: 7am to 11am or 10am to 2pm
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Generate bill estimate and provide financial counselling to patient/next of kin
- Advise patient on MediSave / MediShield / Integrated Shield / Corporate insurances
- Scan and archive documents
- Escalate patient's financial issues to supervisor for advice & support
- Data entry of all charges and information into the system
- Present and explain bill breakdown to patient
- Execute payment collections
- Manage customers enquiry/feedback, escalate to supervisor if required
- Work closely with other department to ensure smooth and seamless experience for patients.
- Mending general email enquiries daily
- Perform any other tasks as assigned by superiors
Job Requirements
- A friendly disposition, strong analytical, communication and excellent interpersonal skills with positive can do attitude.
- Team player with natural ability to interact with other department staff of all levels.
- Able to multi-task and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Computer literacy (Excel, Microsoft words, etc).
- Possess good verbal and written English language.
- Minimum NITEC or GCE N/O/A Level qualification.
- Bilingual proficiency is an advantage.
- Prior experience in the healthcare industry is preferred candidates with at least 2 years of relevant experience will have an added advantage.
