About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Database Administrator to support mission-critical enterprise database platforms. This is a hands-on senior role focused on Oracle database operations, high availability, performance optimisation, and lifecycle management within a datacenter setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer and support enterprise Oracle databases (including RAC environments)
- Perform database upgrades, patching, and lifecycle management
- Conduct performance tuning (AWR analysis, SQL tuning, statistics management)
- Manage backup, restore, high availability, and disaster recovery processes
- Provide L2/L3 support during production incidents
- Execute maintenance activities during scheduled windows
- Collaborate with vendors, infrastructure, and application teams on enhancements and projects
- Contribute to continuous improvement, automation, and platform optimization initiatives
Requirements
- Degree in IT, Computer Science
- Minimum 5 years of experience as an Oracle DBA in enterprise environments
- Hands-on experience with Oracle RAC, backup/recovery, and performance tuning
- Experience handling production systems
- Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills
- Exposure to GoldenGate or cloud database platforms (Azure / OCI / AWS) is advantageous
- Familiarity with datacenter operations and change management processes
