Senior / Optical Design Engineer

Job Responsibilities

• Design and development of photoelectric sensors

• Using optical design software to design optical systems that include lens, aperture, filters with defined light source meeting sensor specification considering the mechanical and electrical tolerance

• Create detail optical test plan and perform verification and implement countermeasures

• Collaborate with Electronic Engineer to define the light source and Mechanical Engineer on the mechanical parts design

• Collaborate with cross functional teams on new and custom products development, and sustain product lifecycle including customer complaints, components obsolescence, failure analysis, etc.

• Liaising with Headquarter for technical support and technology transfer

Job Requirements

• Master / Bachelor Degree in Electronic / Optoelectronic Engineering or equivalent

• Experience on optical system design in optical design software; i.e. ZEMAX / Optical studio

• Good knowledge in photonic design for optical sensor is an advantage

• Strong interpersonal and analytical skills

• Ability to work both independently and in a team environment

• Creative, self-driven and willing to acquire new skills and grow in the position
