Senior Operations Manager

Will work closely with the General Manager to oversee and manage all aspects of construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role involves strategic planning, team leadership, financial management, and maintaining compliance with all regulations and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Oversight:

  • Plan, coordinate, and manage construction projects to completion.
  • Drive timelines, schedules, and milestones
  • Oversee all trades, vendors, subcontractors and workers at site

Budget and Financial Management:

  • Manage contracts and budgets to ensure cost control and profitability
  • Drive variation orders, manage discrepancies and financial challenges

Leadership:

  • Lead project managers, site supervisors, and support staff.
  • Train and evaluate employees, foster productive work environment.
  • Resolve disputes and challenges between team members or stakeholders.

Client and Stakeholder Relations:

  • Primary contact for clients, meet expectations
  • Regular progress reports and updates to stakeholders
  • Address client concerns and ensure satisfaction with project outcomes

Compliance and Safety:

  • Ensure compliance with ISM, codes, regulations and safety standards
  • Conduct site inspections and enforce strict safety protocols
  • Manage permits, licenses, and required documentation

Strategic Planning:

  • Identify opportunities for business growth and expansion
  • Develop strategies for optimizing operational efficiency and reducing costs
  • Assess risks and implement contingency plans

Key Requirements:

Construction / Engineering degree

Min 8 years related experience

Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills

Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities

Demonstrable strategic mindset with hands-on execution
