Senior Operations Executive (Shipping & Freight Forwarding)

Role Summary
The Senior Operations Executive will be responsible for managing and coordinating daily shipping and freight forwarding operations to ensure the efficient, accurate, and timely movement of cargo. This role requires strong knowledge of both shipping line and freight forwarding procedures, documentation, and customer service.

Key Responsibilities
Handle the full set of import and export operations (sea and air freight).

Liaise with shipping lines, carriers, co-loaders, customs, and transporters to ensure smooth cargo movement.

Prepare and verify shipping documents, including Bills of Lading, invoices, packing lists, and customs declarations.

Monitor and track shipment status and provide timely updates to customers and internal teams.

Coordinate with sales and customer service teams to meet clients logistics requirements.

Negotiate with carriers and vendors for competitive freight rates and service efficiency.

Resolve operational issues promptly and provide effective solutions.

Ensure all operations comply with company policies, customer SOPs, and statutory regulations.

Support process improvement and cost optimization initiatives.

Supervise and train junior staff when necessary.
