Our client is from Environmental Industry . Due to their current expansion plan, they are looking for a Senior Operations Engineer to join their team, in hopes of developing the current high performing team. They are located in the West.
Job Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise the plant operations team to ensure safety, environmental compliance, quality standards, and production targets are achieved.
- Support production planning and coordinate closely with shift leaders to ensure smooth daily plant operations.
- Monitor critical process parameters and provide technical guidance during plant upsets, including troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
- Drive production performance improvements and manage Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) monitoring and reporting.
- Lead the team in achieving operational KPIs and continuous improvement objectives.
- Collaborate with the maintenance team to minimise equipment downtime through effective shutdown, turnaround, and handover planning.
- Review and update operational procedures, including Risk Assessments (RA) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), to ensure safe and efficient operations.
- Assist in preparing and monitoring operating budgets, including consumables, reagents, and other controllable expenses.
- Prepare management reports and dashboards on plant performance, operational efficiency, and compliance metrics.
- Support QHSE, technical compliance, and operational training initiatives to strengthen team competency.
- Lead plant improvement and modification initiatives, including Management of Change (MOC), design reviews, commissioning, and Pre-Start-Up Safety Reviews (PSSR).
Requirements:
- Min Degree in Chemical Engineering studies or equivalent.
- Min 7 years of relevant experience in process engineering/operation engineering.
- Strong understanding of chemical processes, plant operations, and safety protocols.
