Senior Operation Manager

Capital Human Resource Management Pte. Ltd is seeking a Senior Operations Manager for Logistics to join our dynamic team in the East Region. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial strategic role in overseeing and optimising our logistics operations. As Senior Operations Manager, you will be responsible for driving operational excellence, ensuring efficient supply chain management, and leading teams to achieve performance targets. This role is integral to our mission of delivering reliable and cost-effective logistics solutions to our clients, and you will have a significant impact on the overall success of our operations.

What you'll be doing

1. Oversee daily logistics and warehousing operations, including receiving, storage, inventory management and distribution activities

2. Develop and implement operational strategies to improve efficiency, reduce costs and enhance service quality

3. Lead, manage and mentor operations teams, including supervisors and warehouse staff, to ensure high performance and employee engagement

4. Monitor and optimise warehouse processes, workflows and resource allocation to maximise productivity

5. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, environmental standards and company policies across all operational areas

6. Manage inventory levels and implement systems to minimise waste and stock discrepancies

7. Coordinate with other departments including procurement, customer service and finance to ensure seamless operations

8. Implement and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to track operational metrics and report on performance

9. Manage equipment maintenance schedules and vendor relationships to ensure optimal warehouse functionality

10. Identify process improvements and drive continuous enhancement initiatives across logistics operations

11. Handle customer inquiries and resolve operational issues to maintain high service standards

12. Prepare operational reports and budgets, and manage expenditure to remain within allocated resources

What we're looking for

1. Minimum 5 years of experience in logistics, warehousing or supply chain operations management

2. Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale warehouse or distribution operations

3. Strong leadership and people management skills, with experience supervising and developing operational teams

4. Excellent knowledge of warehousing systems, inventory management and logistics processes

5. Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS) and enterprise resource planning (ERP) software

6. Strong understanding of health, safety and environmental compliance in warehouse environments

7. Demonstrated ability to analyse data, identify trends and implement data-driven solutions

8. Excellent problem-solving capabilities and ability to make sound decisions under pressure

9. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with ability to interact effectively across all levels

10. Knowledge of lean management principles or continuous improvement methodologies

11. Professional certifications such as APICS CPIM, CSCP or equivalent logistics qualifications are advantageous

12. Ability to work flexible hours and manage shift-based operations when required
