Senior Operation Director (Replacement Role)
Operational Leadership
- Overseeing full operational performance across multiple country sites (e.g., Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand)
- Ensure alignment of production, supply chain, quality and logistics with regional strategy
- Establish governance frameworks and standard operating procedures across sites
- Drive consistency in KPIs, reporting and operational excellence
- Lead end-to-end factory relocation program, including planning, execution and stabilization
- Develop detailed transition roadmap covering - asset transfer (machinery, tooling, inventory), workforce transition (redeployment, hiring, training) and supplier and logistics realignment
- Ensure zero/minimal disruption to production and customer commitments
- Manage site setup in Thailand (layout, capacity planning, regulatory approvals)
- Oversee ramp-up, validation, and qualification of the new facility
- Process Improvement and Lean Initiatives
- Implement lean manufacturing practices and continuous improvement initiatives to optimize production processes
- Identify operational bottlenecks and inefficiencies, devising solutions to improve throughput and reduce waste
- Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to enhance product manufacturability and ensure compliance with industry standards
- Oversea production scheduling, ensuring timely delivery of products while maintaining quality standards
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to production, quality and cost, making adjustments as necessary to meet targets
- Ensure the production resources, including materials and equipment, are utilised effectively to achieve maximum productivity
- Budget and Cost Management
- Manage department budgets, tracking expenses and controlling costs
- Lead initiatives to reduce operating costs while maintaining quality and efficiency
- Evaluate capital expenditures for equipment upgrades, facility improvements, and new technology integration
- Ensure that all operations comply with safety regulations and environmental standards
- Promote a culture of safety through training, policy enforcement, and continuous improvement of safety protocols
- Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential hazards
- Mentor and develop the operations management team, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth
- Conduct performance reviews and provide coaching to support employee development
- Ensure that training programs are in place to maintain a skilled and competent workforce
Position Requirements
- At least 12 years of experience in operations management, with a minimum of 5 years in a senior leadership role within the manufacturing industry
- Strong understanding of lean manufacturing, proven leadership abilities solid budget management skills, and expertise in production and operations management
- Preferably experienced in aerospace manufacturing
- Proven experience managing Profit & Loss, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance
- Strong background in CNC machining for complex components
- Open to frequent travel (include Thailand, Malaysia)
Others:
Salary Range: $12K to $16K
Working Hours: 8am to 5.30pm
Others: Travelling every 2 weeks to Thailand and Malaysia
Requirement: Must come out from Aerospace/ Mechanical/ Precision industry and have factory relocation experience
