The Business Financial Manager supports the Wholesale Banking function by providing comprehensive banking and financial solutions to small and medium-sized enterprises. The role focuses on business development, client acquisition, and relationship management to support SME growth across different stages of their business lifecycle.
Business Development & Client Acquisition
- Acquire new SME borrowing relationships through cold-calling, referrals, and market prospecting.
- Identify client financing needs and recommend suitable banking products and services.
- Actively drive portfolio growth through new account origination and cross-selling initiatives.
Client Advisory & Relationship Management
- Provide prudent financial and investment solutions tailored to SME business requirements.
- Establish, manage, and grow long-term profitable relationships with existing and prospective clients.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to clients on working capital, financing structures, and investment needs.
Product & Solution Delivery
- Market and manage a wide range of banking products including commercial property loans, trade facilities, and asset-based financing.
- Work with internal product specialists to deliver integrated banking solutions.
- Ensure timely execution and delivery of approved financing solutions.
Risk Management & Compliance
- Ensure all advisory activities and documentation comply with internal policies, business processes, and regulatory requirements.
- Adhere to statutory and regulatory frameworks such as FAA and other applicable banking regulations.
- Maintain sound credit judgment and portfolio quality.
Performance & Portfolio Management
- Manage assigned SME portfolio to achieve revenue, asset growth, and sales targets.
- Monitor client performance and proactively address risks and opportunities.
- Demonstrate consistent achievement or exceedance of sales and business targets.
Experience & Qualifications
- Recognised degree in Accountancy, Business Administration, Banking, or Finance.
- Minimum one year of experience in SME credit assessment and marketing.
- Strong analytical capability with the ability to assess financial statements and credit risks.
- Self-driven and resourceful, able to perform effectively with minimal supervision.
