Location: Raffles Place (Near MRT)
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM
Salary Range: $4,500 - $5,000 (depending on experience)
Reporting To: Head of Department
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and manage all shipment-related documents, including customs declarations, letters of credit, and contractual paperwork
- Ensure full compliance with UCP 600, ISBP, and international trade regulations
- Track shipments in real-time and provide regular updates to internal teams and customers
- Proactively address delays or disruptions, issue pre-alerts, and implement corrective actions
- Coordinate closely with internal departments and warehouse teams to ensure smooth cargo flow
- Ensure timely issuance of invoices and maintain high accuracy in billing records
- Plan and execute import/export operations, including customs clearance, shipping arrangements, and receiving of foreign merchandise
- Liaise with freight forwarders, carriers, and regulatory bodies to ensure seamless logistics
- Maintain open and professional communication with customers regarding shipment status, delays, and documentation
- Provide prompt responses to inquiries and resolve issues with a customer-first mindset
Requirements
- Diploma in Business Administration or a related field
- 15 years of experience in shipping, logistics, or trade execution within a trading company
- Strong knowledge of Incoterms, legal and shipping terms, and their application in sales/purchase contracts
- Proficient in UCP 600, ISBP, C/P terms, laytime calculations, B/L requirements, and insurance classifications
- Excellent communication, coordination, and analytical skills
- Responsible, detail-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
