Responsibilities
The candidate will be part of Group Investment Banking's Business Management team and will be responsible for the following areas:
Finance-related
- Reporting to Head of GIB on the income on weekly basis.
- Ensuring that fee income and expenses are accurately recorded in the Bank's finance system.
- Monitoring and follow-up on invoicing and outstanding fee receivable.
- Performing monthly GL reconciliation.
- Submitting of reports to Business Finance for management reporting.
- Prepare and monitoring of department's annual budget.
- Assist with internal audit matters, when necessary.
- Circulate of deal broadcast and maintenance of distribution list.
- Adhoc reporting as and when required.
Compliance-related
- Maintenance of restricted lists for confidential deals.
- Submission of regulatory returns and internal compliance reports.
- Maintenance of internal records/registers required (e.g. gifts and entertainment).
Job Requirements
- Basic knowledge of accounting and finance is fundamental for this role.
- Proficient in MS office tools, especially excel.
- Numbers oriented and attention to details.
- Proactive and comfortable to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Good team player and strong interpersonal skills (written and verbal) as the role involves frequent interactions with internal stake holders.
- Knowledge of wholesale banking business is an advantage but not an essential requirement.
Qualifications
- Graduate Degree from a recognized university (preferably Accountancy, Banking or Finance) or relevant professional qualification in financial services.
- At least 2 years in the banking/finance service would be preferred. Experience in financial payments would be advantages.
