As a Senior Occupational Therapist (Paediatrics), you will be responsible for the following duties:
- Evaluate and document clients occupational therapy needs, progress, and outcomes at regular intervals, ensuring timely updates to care plans.
- Monitor training programmes, assess their effectiveness, and make necessary modifications to support clients functional improvement.
- Provide occupational therapy consultation, clinical support, and updates on client progress to members of the rehabilitation team, parents, and caregivers.
- Evaluate, prescribe, and fabricate or source appropriate assistive devices to enhance clients independence and daily functioning.
- Work effectively within a transdisciplinary setup, collaborating closely with other professionals to deliver holistic, client-centred care.
- Ensure adherence to clinical standards, best practices, and regulatory guidelines in all therapy-related activities.
- Mentor junior therapists and therapy assistants, offering guidance and contributing to professional development within the team.
- Participate in case discussions, care reviews, and multidisciplinary meetings as required.
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure confidentiality of client information.
Requirements
- Possess Diploma / Degree in Occupational Therapy
- Registered with Allied Health Professional Council (AHPC)
- Relevant experience in Paediatrics settings is advantage
