senior network engineer (weekends, shift) IDO

Successful candidates need to be comfortable with working on weekends, and rotation shifts as and when required.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide Level 2/3 support for network infrastructure across data centers, remote branches, and overseas locations.
• Install, configure, and troubleshoot Cisco routers, switches (Nexus, 2960, 3750), and firewalls (Checkpoint, Juniper).
• Manage and support routing protocols including RIP, EIGRP, OSPF, BGP, and HSRP.
• Perform network health checks, DR drills, and ISDN testing for business continuity.
• Coordinate with vendors for SSOE deployments, hardware replacements, and RMA processes.
• Monitor and maintain WAN links using tools like SolarWinds, NetBrain, Riverbed, Algosec, and IBM ISM Service Desk.
• Support and troubleshoot VPNs, VLANs, and public cloud connectivity.
• Generate and maintain documentation for network changes, incident reports, and monthly performance metrics.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve network-related issues and implement infrastructure upgrades.
• Ensure compliance with SLA and IT security policies.
• Any other ad-hoc duties as assigned by supervisors.

Technical Skills & Tools:

• Networking: Cisco (CCNP certified), Nexus, RIP, EIGRP, OSPF, BGP, HSRP, STP, VLAN, VPN
• Firewalls: Checkpoint, Juniper
• Servers: Windows Server 2008/2003, Active Directory, FTP, DNS, DHCP, Backup Server
• Monitoring & Ticketing Tools: SolarWinds, NetBrain, Riverbed, IBM ISM, Ichamp, JIRA, CA Spectrum
• Others: Lotus Notes, Blackberry configuration, SSL VPN, Symantec Endpoint Antivirus

Required Skills & Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering).
• Around 10+ years of experience
• Willingness to participate in 24x7 support rotations and on-site activities.
