Network Engineer – Singapore

Location: Singapore

Employment Type: 12-month renewable contract

Salary: SGD 5,000–8,000 per month, depending on experience

Eligibility: Singapore Citizens or Permanent Residents only

We are looking for an experienced Network Engineer to support the day-to-day operation, maintenance and troubleshooting of an enterprise network environment. The successful candidate should be technically hands-on, service-oriented and comfortable working with internal teams, customers and external vendors.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide operational support for enterprise LAN, WAN, data centre and wireless networks
• Monitor network performance, availability and capacity
• Troubleshoot network incidents involving routing, switching, firewalls, connectivity and performance
• Perform network configuration changes, upgrades, patching and equipment replacement
• Support routers, switches, firewalls, wireless controllers and related network infrastructure
• Investigate recurring issues and perform root-cause analysis
• Coordinate with vendors and technical teams for incident resolution and planned activities
• Maintain network diagrams, configuration records, operational procedures and technical documentation
• Ensure incidents, service requests and changes are properly recorded and completed within agreed timelines
• Participate in scheduled maintenance or after-hours support when required
• Follow established IT security, change-management and operational procedures

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or a related discipline
• At least 3–5 years of hands-on enterprise network support experience
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, VLAN, STP, routing, switching, DNS, DHCP and network troubleshooting
• Practical experience supporting Cisco or equivalent networking technologies
• Experience with firewalls such as Fortinet, Palo Alto, Check Point or Cisco would be advantageous
• Knowledge of wireless networking, VPN, SD-WAN, load balancers or network monitoring tools would be an advantage
• Familiarity with ITIL processes, incident management and change management
• Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CCNP or equivalent would be preferred
• Good communication, documentation and stakeholder-management skills
• Able to work independently and respond effectively to operational issues
• Must be a Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident due to project requirements
