About the Company

We are looking for an experienced Senior .NET Application Engineer to join our FinIQ squad. FinIQ is a vendor provided financial markets product, and the internal team is responsible for validating vendor deliveries, managing source code, deploying releases, maintaining environments, participating in solution and architecture discussions, and coordinating defect triage. The successful candidate will combine strong hands-on development experience with application support, release management, deployment, troubleshooting, and stakeholder coordination skills. Experience in trading, order management, or financial markets applications will be highly valuable.

Responsibilities

  • Validate and assess software deliveries received from the FinIQ product vendor
  • Review release contents, application changes, database scripts, configuration changes, and deployment requirements
  • Support source code management and release branching activities
  • Coordinate and execute application deployments across development, SIT, UAT, and production environments
  • Deploy, configure, and troubleshoot Microservices and Microfrontend applications
  • Support IIS-hosted applications and investigate application, infrastructure, and integration issues
  • Review and validate database changes before deployment
  • Participate in solution design and architecture discussions with internal teams and the vendor
  • Perform technical impact analysis for enhancements, fixes, and releases
  • Lead or contribute to defect triage, root-cause analysis, and resolution tracking
  • Collaborate with application support, infrastructure, DevOps, database, QA, and vendor teams
  • Support environment maintenance, deployment readiness, and release planning
  • Ensure technical documentation, deployment instructions, and operational procedures are complete and accurate
  • Assist with troubleshooting issues involving APIs, messaging, databases, scheduled jobs, and external integrations

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline
  • Relevant professional certifications in .NET, cloud-native technologies, DevOps, OpenShift, or databases would be advantageous

Required Skills

Hands-on development experience with:

  • .NET Framework and/or .NET Core
  • C#
  • REST APIs and service-oriented application development
  • Microservices architecture and implementation
  • IIS configuration, hosting, and troubleshooting

Experience with frontend development using:

  • AngularJS or ReactJS
  • Microfrontend architecture and implementation
  • Frontend build, packaging, configuration, and deployment

Experience deploying and supporting microservices and microfrontends on:

  • OpenShift
  • Containers and container-based deployments

Experience with DevOps and source code management tools:

  • Bitbucket
  • Jenkins
  • CI/CD pipelines
  • Build, packaging, deployment, and release processes

Experience with database deployment and version management using:

  • Liquibase

Strong experience with at least one relational database:

  • Microsoft SQL Server
  • Oracle

Understanding of:

  • Apache Kafka – topics, producers, consumers, message flow, and troubleshooting
  • Control-M or equivalent enterprise scheduling tools – scheduling, monitoring, dependency management, and failure handling of batch jobs
  • Good understanding of application configuration, logging, monitoring, integration troubleshooting, and environment management

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in financial markets, trading, or order management systems
  • Knowledge of trade lifecycle processes and order processing
  • Experience with FIX connectivity
  • Understanding of the FIX Protocol, including messages, sessions, connectivity, and troubleshooting
  • Experience with equity derivatives or other capital markets products
  • Exposure to high-availability, distributed, and event-driven systems
  • Experience working with vendor application teams and managing third-party product releases
