The Opportunity
Mills Recruitment is partnering with a leading financial institution in Singapore to hire a Monitoring & Observability Engineer for its Resilience Operations Centre (ROC). You'll play a key role in driving observability initiatives, implementing modern monitoring practices, and supporting large-scale enterprise platforms.
Compensation and Benefits
- Competitive monthly salary to SGD $13,000 or to be discussed based on experience.
What You Will Do
Key Responsibilities
- Integrate monitoring and telemetry into enterprise observability platforms.
- Design SLIs, SLOs, dashboards, and resilience reporting capabilities.
- Configure AIOps event correlation, suppression, and alert tuning.
- Drive the adoption of observability-as-code practices.
- Act as the local subject matter expert for monitoring and observability initiatives.
Who We Are Looking For
Preferred Qualifications
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 7 years experience in monitoring and observability engineering.
- Strong understanding of metrics, logs, traces, and event management.
- Hands-on experience with ServiceNow ITOM, OpenTelemetry, cloud monitoring, and observability tools.
- ITIL Foundation and cloud certifications are advantageous.
Skills and Attributes
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working within enterprise or regulated IT environments.
- Ability to drive observability best practices across technical teams.
- Familiarity with tools such as Dynatrace, Datadog, Splunk, Grafana, Prometheus, SolarWinds, and AWS/Azure monitoring platforms.
- Priority will be given to Singapore Citizens and Singapore Permanent Residents (PRs).
