The Opportunity

Mills Recruitment is partnering with a leading financial institution in Singapore to hire a Monitoring & Observability Engineer for its Resilience Operations Centre (ROC). You'll play a key role in driving observability initiatives, implementing modern monitoring practices, and supporting large-scale enterprise platforms.

Compensation and Benefits

• Competitive monthly salary to SGD $13,000 or to be discussed based on experience.

What You Will Do

Key Responsibilities

• Integrate monitoring and telemetry into enterprise observability platforms.
• Design SLIs, SLOs, dashboards, and resilience reporting capabilities.
• Configure AIOps event correlation, suppression, and alert tuning.
• Drive the adoption of observability-as-code practices.
• Act as the local subject matter expert for monitoring and observability initiatives.

Who We Are Looking For

Preferred Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 7 years experience in monitoring and observability engineering.
• Strong understanding of metrics, logs, traces, and event management.
• Hands-on experience with ServiceNow ITOM, OpenTelemetry, cloud monitoring, and observability tools.
• ITIL Foundation and cloud certifications are advantageous.

Skills and Attributes

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience working within enterprise or regulated IT environments.
• Ability to drive observability best practices across technical teams.
• Familiarity with tools such as Dynatrace, Datadog, Splunk, Grafana, Prometheus, SolarWinds, and AWS/Azure monitoring platforms.
• Priority will be given to Singapore Citizens and Singapore Permanent Residents (PRs).
