Job Responsibilities:
Perform diagnostic procedures for Microbiology according to SOP.
Undertake related laboratory activities to ensure quality and timeliness of results.
Practice proper documentation and filing of reports and documents
Maintain inventory for supplies.
Perform and document routine preventive maintenance, quality control and calibration of laboratory analyzers.
Monitor quality control and quality assurance measures. Institute corrective action, if needed.
Assist with coaching of trainees and new staff.
Comply with good laboratory and safety practices as set out in laboratory policies and MOH guidelines
Job Requirements:
At least a Diploma/Degree in Medical Technology/Biotechnology/Biomedical Science
2 to 5 years of working experience in Microbiology is preferred. Entry level candidates are welcomed
Knowledge on identifying microorganism and urine crystals is an advantage.
Must be focused, meticulous and has an eye for detail
Able to work independently as well as a good team player with initiative and adaptive to changes
Willing to work on weekends and public holidays
