Senior Medical Social Worker

Woodlands Health Campus encompasses acute and intermediate and long-term care facilities. The Senior Medical Social Worker has an important role in supporting and co-leading the Medical Social Work Department in the provision of the continuum of care services within the campus and into the community.

The Senior Medical Social Worker will provide bio-psychosocial assessment and intervention in management of patient care throughout the various services that is provided by the campus.

The Senior Medical Social Worker would need to supervise students and medical social workers in providing care in the campus.

The Senior Medical Social Worker will also need to lead projects within and outside the department to improve service delivery in their area of specialization track.

Requirements

• Possess a Master/Degree/ Graduate Diploma in Social Work
• 5 years of working experience as a social worker.
• A registered social worker (RSW) with the Singapore Association of Social Workers or meet the requirements to become a RSW
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Ability to speak local dialects, or Malay/ Mandarin/Tamil would be strongly preferred
• Ability to work in a fast pace, multi-disciplinary team environment.
• Strong knowledge on the health and social sectors in Singapore
• Strong communication skills and inter-personal skills and can manage staff across all ages
• Has past relevant experience in supervising students or social workers and in the provisioning of training.
• Applicant with past experience or interests in providing psychosocial care in the intensive care unit and emergency department will be considered favourably.
