Job Responsibilities
- You will have to provide medical social service to patients and families to help them cope with social, psychological, financial issues resulting from an illness.
- Providing social work based intervention, counselling and emotional support and other assistance to patients and families.
- Supervising junior social workers and undergraduates undergoing fieldwork placement.
- Supervising the work of social service assistants.
- Planning, organizing and coordination of support programmes
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or Postgraduate Certificate in Social Work (or with a major in Social Work).
- Practising Social Worker Accreditation by the Singapore Association of Social Workers (SASW).
- Minimum of 5 to 8 years of relevant experience preferred.
- Strong social casework intervention skills.
- Effective counselling abilities.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficient in word processing and spreadsheet software (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel).
- Mentoring skills (where applicable).
