Job Description
We are looking for a highly committed, dynamic and driven individual to join the Clinical Biochemistry Laboratory at the Singapore General Hospital.
You will:
- Perform routine or complex laboratory investigations on biological specimens using a wide range of specialized equipment according to established policies/procedures and quality assurance practices
- Ensure that accurate and high-quality laboratory test results are reported and communicated in a timely manner
- Apply scientific knowledge and technical skills to support and troubleshoot laboratory test procedures, analyzer maintenance, and workflow and operational issues
- Participate in development of new and/or innovation laboratory tests and implementation of state-of-the-art technologies for laboratory testing
- Provide training to laboratory personnel on laboratory test procedures
- Lead team members in specified laboratory functions to ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements
- Participate in data analytics and quality assurance management to enhance laboratory efficiency
Requirements
- Degree in Biomedical Science, Life Sciences or equivalent, with minimum 5 years of work experience in Clinical Laboratories.
- Candidates with significant years of relevant work experience can be considered for senior positions
- Experience in Specialized Chemistry laboratory testing (HPLC, LC-MS/MS, ICPMS, Protein Electrophoresis), quality assurance, laboratory audit and accreditation, point-of-care testing operations and governance, or data analytics will be an advantage
- Possesses positive work attitude and is responsible, meticulous, and efficient
- Works well independently, in a team and/or in a leadership role
- Has good interpersonal and communication skills
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment and on rotating shifts
