Lead Mechanical engineering activities across CAPEX projects throughout all phases of project development, from concept through to commissioning.
Define and develop project scope of work, including preparation of datasheets, technical requirements, calculations, analyses, and specifications.
Conduct and support site surveys to ensure accurate engineering inputs and readiness for execution.
Review, validate, and approve Mechanical engineering deliverables to ensure compliance with project requirements, applicable codes, and standards.
Maintain and manage Mechanical engineering data and documentation within the company's systems.
Provide technical support during construction, commissioning, and operational readiness phases.
Act as the Mechanical discipline focal point within the company's project management team, coordinating closely with project management, other engineering disciplines, and operations teams.
Oversee FEED consultants, EPC contractors, and equipment vendors to ensure alignment with project objectives and technical requirements.
Develop and issue Mechanical basis of design, technical specifications, and scope of work for Feasibility Studies, FEED, and EPC phases.
Review technical proposals from consultants, contractors, and vendors, assessing capabilities and ensuring compliance with project requirements.
Ensure documentation meets regulatory requirements and support consultants/contractors in obtaining approvals from relevant authorities.
Witness Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) to verify equipment performance and compliance.
Review as-built documentation and ensure all approved deliverables are properly submitted and maintained in the document management system.
Ensure compliance with the company's Quality Management System and adherence to QA/QC plans throughout project execution.
Requirements
Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
Above 10 years of engineering experience handling static equipment and packaged units in Oil & Gas / LNG industry.
Minimum 5 years of experience in a Senior Mechanical Engineer capacity with multinational engineering or EPC companies managing Oil & Gas / LNG projects.
Involved in two and above FEED or EPC detailed engineering projects (from Owner's or Contractor side).
Highly familiar with international and local industry codes, standards and best practices.
Extensive experience in preparing specifications, datasheets, requisitions for static equipment and packages, as well as technical bid evaluations and vendor document reviews.
Expert applied knowledge in engineering/ installation/ construction/ commissioning phases in LNG/ LNG terminal projects.
Work experience within an Owner's engineering team is highly advantageous.
