Senior Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) Engineer/ Permanent - East

Working hours:
Mon- Fri 8.30am - 6 pm, sat 8 am - 1pm
Location: Changi, Singapore

Job Summary

The Senior M&E Engineer will lead and oversee mechanical and electrical engineering works on building projects from construction through completion. This role is responsible for coordinating M&E drawings and BIM models, supervising subcontractors, managing authority submissions/approvals, and ensuring quality, safety and compliance with relevant standards and codes.

Key Responsibilities

. Oversee and manage M&Etechnical works throughout the construction phase to project completion.

. Coordinate M&E shop drawings, BIM models, and site interfaces with architectural, structural and civil teams.

. Supervise M&E subcontractors to ensure that works are executed safely, on schedule, and to quality standards.

. Manage authority submissions, inspections and approvals (such as BCA, SCDF, PUB, SP Group, NEA) leading to TOP/CSC.

. Oversee testing & commissioning, system integration, defects rectification and handover documentation.

. Monitor progress, costs, variations and claims related to M&E scopes.

. Ensure compliance with contract specifications, Singapore Codes of practice, and WSH requirements.

. Identify and promptly resolve site coordination, technical and construction issues.

. Provide guidance and mentor junior M&E engineers and site staff to support skill development and performance.

Qualifications & Experience

. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services, or a related field (recognized by the PE Board).

. Minimum 4-5 years relevant experience in M&E works on building projects (including coordination, supervision and site execution).

. Strong understanding of M&E systems (ACMV, plumbing, electrical, fire protection, sanitary, etc.) and construction processes.

. Experience with BIM coordination, M&E drawings and site integration.

. Knowledge of Singapore authority requirements and approval processes.

. Excellent communication, leadership and problem-solving skills.
