Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

Brief Summary

We are looking for an experienced Senior Mechanical Design Engineer with expertise in automation equipment design. This role involves creating innovative solutions for advanced automation systems.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Project Managers and clients to comprehend product design requirements and specifications. Engage in project analysis and assist in generating design concepts. Design high-precision automation equipment. Select standard components, including sensors, pneumatics, motors, servo axes, and robotics. Prepare Bills of Materials (BOM) using SAP software. Coordinate with fabrication houses and component suppliers. Report project progress to the Project Manager. Guide assembly technicians in building and testing equipment. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure adherence to industry standards and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• A minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in automation equipment design. Knowledge and experience in factory automation is advantageous. Experience in selecting mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and sensor components. Proficiency in SolidWorks 3D and EPDM software. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team. Knowledge of industry standards and regulations pertaining to machine safety and performance (e.g., ISO, IEC standards). Familiarity with reliability engineering principles and techniques.
