Job Description

• Design and redesign sockets and connector systems

• Improve existing socket platforms, including:Pin and contact designsReliability and performance optimisation

• Take designs from concept to mass production, including, Prototype build and iteration and Production release

• Apply:DFM / DFA / DFMEATolerance analysis and GD&T

• Perform mechanical and thermal simulations using SolidWorks

• Support failure analysis and root cause investigation

• Work closely with:Tool makers and suppliersManufacturing and quality teams

• Participate in technical discussions with internal teams and customers

The Successful Applicant

• At least 5 years of experience in IC socket, test socket, or connector design

• Strong understanding of:Precision mechanical componentsHigh‑pin‑count / fine‑pitch designs

• Experience with:Machining, stamping, injection molding parts

• Comfortable with:SolidWorks (3D & 2D)Mechanical and thermal analysis

• Exposure to high‑speed, high‑current, or high‑power designs is a plus

• Detail‑oriented and manufacturing‑aware mindset
