This is a senior expert role for a marketer who operates as a player-coach. We're looking for someone who can own Singdata's international growth and content strategy end-to-end: you will set the vision, do the work, analyze the data, and iterate.
Roughly how your time will split:
- 30% Content & Social Growth
- 30% Communications & Partner Marketing
- 20% Brand & Product Content
- 20% Events & Demand Generation
What You'll Do
1. Social Growth & Content
- Own our global social presence: Treat LinkedIn as our primary battleground, supported strategically by X, YouTube, Medium, and developer communities.
- Run executive & corporate accounts: Act as a strategic ghostwriter for our founder and executives. You need to get inside their heads, distill their raw insights, and turn them into compelling thought leadership published under their names.
- Build a scalable content engine: Mine product capabilities, customer stories, engineering opinions, and industry news for unique angles. Translate complex technical substance into language a business buyer actually wants to read.
- Master the metrics: Own audience quality, follower growth, engagement, reach, and website conversion. Test hooks, formats, and timing, and report back on what moves the needle.
- Maximize asset value: Build a robust content library. Take one substantial piece of content and atomize it into social posts, email campaigns, web copy, and sales assets. Work across long-form posts, data visuals, video clips, and livestream cuts.
2. Brand & Product
- Direct our English content ecosystem: Own the copy for our website, product pages, whitepapers, customer stories, and technical blog.
- Maintain narrative integrity: Ensure our terminology and positioning are tight and consistent everywhere we show up.
- Drive product launches: Deliver the full asset package for new releases, including announcement copy, demo scripts, FAQs, and sales talk tracks.
3. Communications & Partner Marketing
- Lead international PR: Produce the English material driving our press strategy (releases, bylines, exec interview prep, award submissions) and hold our PR agency to a high standard.
- Newsjack the industry: Spot what the industry is arguing about right now and inject our point of view into the conversation, rather than just pushing product announcements.
- Co-market with the ecosystem: Build joint campaigns, co-authored whitepapers, and marketplace assets with cloud providers, ISVs, and partners.
- Expand our reach: Collaborate with analysts, industry bloggers, creators, and developer advocates to amplify our publishing efforts.
4. Events & Demand Generation
- Drive event strategy: Lead the planning and content design for international trade shows, roundtables, customer dinners, and webinars. (Logistics and on-site execution will be shared with agencies and the HQ team).
- Turn events into content: Ensure every event feeds our content engine for weeks via session clips, customer interviews, and on-site footage.
- Support acquisition: Contribute to SEO, paid social, email, and content marketing to improve how traffic converts into qualified leads.
- Align with Sales: Work closely with the Sales and LDR teams to ensure the leads you generate are properly worked. (Note: You will not manage this team or carry a sales quota).
What We're Looking For
Must-Haves
- 5+ years in B2B tech marketing, including at least 2 years marketing to international audiences (e.g., North America, ANZ, SEA, Greater China, Japan/Korea, or EMEA).
- Proven social growth: You have personally grown an international social account from scratch or a small baseline. Application requirement: Send us the account, the posts, and the numbers (growth, engagement, and downstream impact). We weigh this heavily.
- Bilingual proficiency: Native-level English writing and editing skills (you will draft everything we publish and deal directly with media). Working proficiency in Mandarin is required to collaborate effectively with our HQ team.
- Deep LinkedIn expertise: You understand the platform's mechanics—formats, algorithmic pacing, comment-section strategy, employee advocacy, and how paid and organic support each other.
- Technical aptitude: You aren't intimidated by technical subjects. You can read engineering blogs and API docs and independently take a technical topic from a rough angle to a polished draft.
Nice-to-Haves
- Experience ghostwriting for a tech founder or C-level executive.
- Your own established following or portfolio of work on LinkedIn (or another international platform).
- Experience in developer marketing or engaging with open-source communities (GitHub, Reddit, Hacker News, dev.to, Discord).
- Experience scaling a Chinese technology company into international markets, or running APAC/Global marketing for a multinational.
- A background in data platforms, lakehouse architecture, BI, or AI infrastructure.
- Comfort with the modern revenue stack (HubSpot/Salesforce, GA4, SEO/social analytics) and enough attribution literacy to adjust your strategy based on data.
- Proficiency using AI tools to scale your output without letting quality slip.
