UN Global Compact Network Singapore (UNGCNS) is seeking a Senior Marketing & Communications Executive who will support the team in building a community and movement for corporate sustainability, through smart and crisp marketing, communication and branding activities.
This role is ideal for someone who is proactive, digitally fluent, highly organised, and passionate about shaping impactful content and community engagement in the sustainability space. You will work closely with the Marketing & Outreach team to strengthen UNGCNS brand presence, deepen member engagement, and amplify our national-level sustainability initiatives.
Responsibilities
Content Creation & Design (30% weightage)
- Conceptualise, design, and produce marketing assets including member success stories, brochures, newsletters, thought leadership articles, videos, and campaign collaterals.
- Develop high-quality visuals using Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, or equivalent tools.
- Support content packaging for key UNGCNS initiatives (e.g., Forward Faster, SME membership campaigns, Impact Report, Summit collateral).
Social Media Strategy & Execution (15% weightage)
- Plan, manage, and execute a strategic social media calendar across LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube.
- Write clear, compelling captions and thought leadership posts aligned with UNGCNS voice and positioning.
- Optimise content for engagement, reach, and conversions.
- Monitor and analyse performance metrics and iterate content accordingly.
Communications & Editorial Support (10% weightage)
- Draft EDMs, newsletters, event announcements, and short-form member features.
- Support speechwriting and messaging for UNGCNS leadership.
- Ensure consistency in storytelling, tone of voice, and brand alignment across all platforms.
Website & Digital Management (15% weightage)
- Assist with updating and maintaining UNGCNS websites.
- Upload web articles, event pages, membership content, and resource materials.
- Support basic SEO optimisation (tags, metadata, site structure updates).
- Ensure campaign landing pages are user-friendly and on-brand.
Video Production & Member Engagement (10% weightage)
- Support the production of video assets, including member testimonials, trainer videos, programme explainers, and event highlights.
- Prepare scripts, storyboards, interview guides, and liaise with production vendors.
- Manage end-to-end timelines, including pre-production, filming, and post-production.
Marketing Operations & Tracking (5% weightage)
- Coordinate digital and paid advertising (Google Ads, LinkedIn Ads) when needed.
- Track campaign performance, competitor activities, and social media trends.
- Assist in preparing quarterly MarComms performance reports and insights for internal review.
Event & Programme Marketing (5% weightage)
- Support marketing for flagship events (UNGCNS Summit, Academy sessions, workshops, member events).
- Produce event collateral: banners, screens, name cards, agendas, social assets.
- Coordinate photo/videography where required.
Cross-Team Collaboration (5% weightage)
- Work closely with the Membership, Programmes, and Partnerships teams to support:
- Member onboarding communication
- Partner campaigns
- Launches of new UNGCNS initiatives
- Advocacy campaigns linked to national sustainability priorities
- Provide MarComms advice to ensure consistent positioning across functions.
General Support & Administration (5% weightage)
- Manage mailing lists, EDM scheduling, vendor coordination, and asset archiving.
- Provide ad hoc support for research, data collection, and reporting.
- Assist in day-to-day tasks required to ensure smooth marketing operations in a small, fast-paced team.
Requirements
- Nitec/Higher Nitec/Diploma in Mass Communications or related disciplines, with at least 2 years hands-on experience/exposure in marketing & communications and/or advertising
- Organised, goal-oriented, and with a mature disposition to take ownership of projects and targets assigned
- Strong communicator (written and verbal) comfortable engaging with a wide range of stakeholders
- Some working knowledge and experience using design software (e.g. Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Canva), SM calendar planning tools like Trello, direct marketing tools like Mailchimp/Pardot and video editing software (e.g. Final Cut, iMovie, Powtoon) will be advantageous
- Some working knowledge of Wordpress (Pro, Elementor), Google Adwords, Campaign Manager and experience in copywriting will be advantageous
- Possess initiative to look for alternative solutions and help out the team whenever needed
- Research capabilities for report writing, data collection and analysis
