Job Description

Working closely with the MBD team in the delivery of the marketing and business development strategies and programmes, the incumbent will provide dedicated marketing and business development support to a number of practice and sector groups in the Singapore office, as well as in some areas at an APAC level.

As a Senior MBD Executive with us, you will have the opportunity to work with a dynamic MBD team across APAC to build the firm's profile, win new work, and strengthen and deepen client relationships.

SCOPE OF THE ROLE

Proposals, pitches and capability statements

  • Proactively assist with proposals, pitches, capability statements with fee earners and other business functions to produce key materials in PowerPoint, Word, etc.
  • Contribute to cross-border pitch projects, liaising with the regional and international MBD team where necessary
  • Maintain up to date global and local materials on the Singapore office and South East Asia
  • Track pitch outcomes and produce win/loss reporting

Country, client, and sector focus

  • Support the Firm's sector program by feeding into local and regional and international initiatives
  • Support on the execution and delivery of country-specific focus group initiatives including India, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam
  • Assist with targeting and client relationships in conjunction with client, sector and country focus teams

Events, seminars and conferences

  • Manage and support on activities relating to client events (including guest list, coordination of slides, management of speakers and logistics).
  • Work efficiently with the wider facilities and Business Services team on both internal and external events.

Marketing and communications

  • Produce targeted client lists from the Firm's CRM tool
  • Develop the Firm's reputation through targeted marketing communications, publications and awards and directories submissions.
  • Develop, track and maintain deal lists and the experience database, and manage league table submissions.
  • Liaise with the central PR team team on media and PR opportunities.
  • Identify relevant networking and sponsorship opportunities for partners and associates.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

  • Graduate degree / University degree in business/related disciplines.
  • Relevant business development and/or marketing experience at an equivalent level within a professional services organisation - minimum 4 years experience.
  • Proven ability to produce high quality business development material, to deadline and to a high standard.
  • Enthusiasm to develop an in-depth understanding of the market legal, business, client requirements, competition etc.
  • Strong interpersonal and influencing skills with partners, key associates, and business development colleagues, clients and suppliers.
  • Ability to respond promptly to requests and prioritize effectively
  • Excellent communication skills both written and oral.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and tenacious; able to work under pressure
  • Professional, creative, good humored and enthusiastic
  • A good fair-minded team player with a highly collaborative spirit
  • Strong affinity for technology with a high proficiency in MS suite of products and an understanding of how AI can benefit and amplify marketing efforts.
