Key Responsibilities:
Operational Leadership
- Manage day-to-day manufacturing operations across designated cells (e.g., W2 Cell 5-8, W3 Cell A-C, MDW-HAS-Warehousing, Pack & Ops Support).
- Manage equipment and products performance tracking, reporting and driving to fulfil commitment.
Strategic Planning
- Develop and execute long-term plans for equipment, workforce, and process improvements aligned with Seagate's performance goals.
Lean & Continuous Improvement
- Lead lean transformation initiatives, Kaizen events, and Productivity improvement programs to reduce waste to improve OEEand particularlyin headcount optimization and efficiency.
Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure adherence to Seagate's Labor Management System, including internal RBA audits, grievance mechanisms, and company cultures & values.
- Conduct and support customer visits and audits.
Team Development
- Mentor and develop supervisors and planners, oversee hiring and induction processes, and support performance reviews and bonus recommendations.
- Conduct skip level meetings to address concerns and align priorities.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with HR, Supply Chain, Engineering, and Quality teams to resolve issues and implement best practices.
Budget & Resource Management
- Manage departmental budgets, track actual vs. planned headcount, and optimize resource allocation.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in high-volume manufacturing, with at least 3 years in a managerial role
- Proven track record in lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and operational excellence.
- Strong understanding of labor regulations, compliance, frameworks, and audit processes.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with SAP ERP systems and data-driven decision-making.
