About This Role
We are seeking a hands-on, technically elite Senior Manager within our Technical Operations team to lead our Streaming Programmatic ecosystem across the JAPAC region. This role balances regional team leadership with hands-on technical execution. You will manage a team of Technical Operations Managers while remaining a primary technical support role in supporting client workflows. This role is focused on expanding our business across JAPAC, operating in a fast-paced market embedded within a global organisation. Sitting at the intersection of technical architecture, people management, and commercial strategy, you will be tasked with driving high-impact, creative technical solutions for premium publishers, broadcasters, and OTT platforms.
You will be challenged daily with complex technical problems, requiring you to translate sophisticated publisher business models into elegant ad server configurations. Business acumen is required as you build deep, consultative relationships with clients. This role requires an analytical thinker who thrives in ambiguous situations, enjoys solving quantitative problems, and brings a deep, foundational understanding of linear, digital, and programmatic ad serving mechanics to the table.
In This Role You Will
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of Technical Operations Managers, fostering their technical growth, accountability, and day-to-day execution.
- Collaborate closely with premium JAPAC clients to deeply understand their underlying business models and architect custom technical integrations with Magnite's Programmatic technology stack.
- Act as the definitive regional escalation point to diagnose and resolve complex system issues, including SSAI friction, CDN/data center routing anomalies, payload discrepancies, and core ad server auction logic.
- Perform detailed data analysis to identify systemic performance patterns, diagnose platform drop-offs, and optimise revenue and yield for publisher partners.
- Partner actively with local Commercial and Sales teams on strategic pitches, live platform demonstrations, and technical alignment to secure new regional business.
- Function as the vital link between the JAPAC market and the global technical core, translating regional product friction and client requirements into actionable feedback for Magnite Product and Engineering teams.
We're Looking For Someone With
- 6+ years experience in AdTech (Solutions Engineering, Tech Ops, or Technical Account Management).first-party
- 3+ years of years people management experience managing a team with a proven track record of developing and leading employees to build and enhance technical processes.
- Deep hands-on expertise in first party publisher ad serving and programmatic logic within premium video/CTV ecosystems (OpenRTB, VAST/VMAP, SSAI).
- Analytical & Commercial Acumen: A data-driven approach to analysing metrics and optimising publisher yield, combined with the ability to translate technical complexities into clear, strategic insights for clients and sales teams.
