Responsibilities
- Develop and implement action plans for forging multilateral partnerships that enhance the impact of bilateral collaborations, and/or bridge university communities in different geographical regions.
- Develop and implement plans for securing SMU's participation and/or membership in multilateral alliances/networks and forums aligned with SMU's strategic priorities.
- Advise and support SMU leadership in external engagements, including managing incoming visits by partners/higher education institutes and staffing SMU principals for outgoing missions.
- Craft and disseminate stories of SMU's strengths in education, research, impact and as Asia's Gateway University.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- At least 8 years of experience and proven high-level skills and achievements in multilateral diplomacy, partner and project management - across countries, preferably in higher education and research, and in leading teams, including cross-cultural teams.
- Strategic, analytical and creative thinker, with strong communications/writing skills.
- Entrepreneurial, resourceful and resilient.
- Meticulous with an eye for detail and an advocate for good processes and documentation.
- Driven, and with the ability to manage multiple, competing tasks and deadlines with a high degree of accuracy.
- Good combination of high intelligence, emotional and cultural quotient.
Other Information
Candidates who do not possess the stipulated qualifications but have relevant work experience may still apply. Remuneration and appointment terms shall commensurate with qualifications and experience. SMU reserves the right to modify the appointment terms where necessary.
