Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead and oversee daily security operations, including deployment, surveillance, and incident management.
  • Develop, review, and implement security policies, SOPs, and response plans
  • Ensure protection of hospital assets (patients, staff, infrastructure, information).
  • Lead investigations of incidents and ensure proper documentation and follow-up.
  • Strengthen hospital readiness through drills, training, and risk awareness programmes.
  • Oversee end-to-end mortuary operations to ensure safe, respectful, and efficient handling of deceased patients
  • Drive risk management with zero tolerance for critical incidents (e.g. misidentification, wrongful release)
  • Deliver high-quality, dignified services to next-of-kin with cultural and religious sensitivity
  • Lead and develop mortuary workforce to ensure competency, professionalism, and operational readiness
  • Drive continuous improvement, operational efficiency, and process standardisation
  • Ensure readiness of mortuary facilities, equipment, and infection control standards
  • Manage stakeholders and external agencies effectively for timely and compliant case handling
  • Oversee patient transport services, ambulance readiness, and logistics operations.
  • Ensure operational availability of transport resources to support clinical services.
  • Optimise transport workflows and fleet utilisation to improve efficiency.
  • Manage vendor contracts, fleet compliance, and service KPIs.
  • Lead implementation of the fire safety programme and compliance with SCDF regulations.
  • Oversee fire drills, inspections, and maintenance of fire protection systems.
  • Ensure development and continuous updating of Fire Emergency Plans (FEP).
  • Investigate fire-related incidents and drive corrective actions
  • Ensure governance, risk management, and audit readiness.
  • Manage stakeholders, vendors, and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Drive strategic planning, innovation, and operational improvements.
  • Provide overall leadership for security officers, transport staff, and supervisors to ensure effective, professional, and service-oriented operations across all touchpoints.
  • Mentor and coach supervisors to strengthen decision-making, incident management, and people leadership capabilities.
  • Foster a culture of professionalism, vigilance, accountability, and service excellence among staff.
  • Drive staff engagement initiatives to improve morale, retention, and team cohesion.
  • Analyse operational gaps, incident trends, and feedback to identify training and manpower improvement opportunities.
  • Implement initiatives to enhance productivity (e.g. role redesign, multi-skilling, digital tools).

Requirements:

  • At least 8 years of relevant working experience, with at least 3-5 years of leadership experience
  • Possess Fire Safety Manager certification
  • Possess Security / Risk / Emergency Management certifications
  • Strong knowledge of security systems, fire safety regulations, and emergency management frameworks
  • Proven leadership, stakeholder engagement, and decision-making skills
  • Crisis management and problem-solving capability under pressure
  • Strong analytical, reporting, and operational planning skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
