About the role
We are looking for a highly driven and experienced individual to lead our Process & Systems team for Global Logistics and Fulfilment.
This pivotal role will be responsible for shaping and maintaining the business capabilities roadmap encompassing B2B third-party distribution logistics, warehousing activities through to B2C/DTC fulfilment, as well as designing and implementing state-of-the-art logistics/ fulfilment processes and systems. The ideal candidate will bring extensive knowledge of supply chain best practices and expertise in logistics, order management and delivery management solutions. Reporting to the Head of Supply Chain Processes & Systems, this role will play a vital part in our endeavour to optimize the end-to-end logistics and fulfilment operations globally.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with Global Supply Chain to have full understanding of strategic directions, the evolution of the target operating model, and the logistics and fulfilment blueprint.
- Collaborate closely with the Global Director of Supply Chain and their leadership team to establish the capability roadmap and identify opportunities for improvements i.e. cost reduction, process optimisation, and risk mitigation.
- Work collaboratively with other functional leads, identifying operational touchpoints e.g. CM Refurb operations, ensuring seamless functional integration of your strategies into the long-term capability roadmap.
- Ensuring roadmaps, processes and systems align with the overall objectives and priorities.
- Identify, evaluate and lead the design and implementation of the process and system solutions throughout the project life cycle, driving continuous improvements and innovation.
- Work with various stakeholders and teams across the organisation to gather requirements, review use cases, development, testing of new applications/systems and communicating changes to ensure successful implementation.
- Oversee a team responsible for managing logistics and fulfilment systems, encompassing roles such as product owners, programme and project managers, and other relevant functions some of the roles may be indirectly reporting to you in a project-based matrix structure.
- Lead the creation and deployment of best practices to streamline processes, enhance efficiency and productivity.
- Establish Logistics and Fulfilment Centre of Excellence (COE), define ways of working with the cross functional teams, governance and cadence including roles and responsibilities for managing incidents, SLAs, service requests, enhancements, business continuity plans and market activation, set strategic direction for Logistics and Fulfilment platforms and product releases for the regions.
- Performance management - as part of COE deliverables, developing and tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the adoption of deployed capabilities, effectiveness of processes and systems.
- Develop and maintain a governance framework for logistics systems to ensure compliance with logistics policies and procedures.
- Mentoring teams of associate managers, product owners, process & system analysts, or other relevant personnel.
- Provide training and development opportunities to build expertise within the COE and across the Global Supply Chain.
- Stay abreast of emerging trends and technologies in logistics and fulfilment.
About you
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, information technology, or a related field. Other advanced degree is a plus.
- Minimum 10 years of experience leading logistics, DTC last mile fulfilment process and system transformations, preferably in a multinational organization.
- In-depth understanding of logistics, fulfilment and delivery management best practices, policies, and procedures.
- Proficiency in Agile methodology, SAP Logistics/ EDI, Order Management Systems (OMS), Delivery Management Platform such as Aftership, Centiro, ParcelLab or similar Logistics systems.
- Must have extensive experience in 3PL integration, APIs, B2B/ EDI, ANSI X12 messaging standards e.g. PGI/IBD, inventory movements.
- In-depth understanding of distribution logistics, last mile commerce fulfilment, reverse logistics processes e.g. order tracking, post-purchase capabilities.
- Proven track record in driving change management initiatives and implementing technology solutions in logistics and fulfilment.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, finance, legal, and supply chain stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, leveraging data-driven insights to guide decisions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate complex concepts to senior leadership in a concise and comprehensible manner.
