Job Description

The Company is a wholly owed subsidiary of Daiwa House Industry Co., Ltd. in Japan, and is an asset management company that manages Daiwa House Logistics Trust, a real estate investment trust (REIT) listed on SGX.

The REIT invests logistics and industrial properties in Asia including Japan and ASEAN countries.

The key responsibilities and duties for this position include:

  • Assess risks and develop appropriate risk management plans (i.e. self-insurance, technology, etc.) while ensuring compliance/control needs are met in a manner consistent with good business practices
  • Plan, establish and execute the Company's business strategies and management planning
  • Manage tasks related to general business operations, coordination of regular meeting including board meeting
  • Maintain a deep knowledge and understanding of the markets and industry in the target countries
  • Ensure that confidential information of the Company is handled appropriately and securely
  • Manage and execute of business related to sustainability and ESG
  • Manage the Company's policies and procedures
  • Manage business related to information securities
  • Manage the Company's asset management contracts, including negotiation, creation, cancellation and any changes
  • Receive and manage feedback and complaints from clients
  • Comply to Company guidelines and work ethics
  • Coordinate with the local team, non-executive directors, the parent company (in Japan) and various stakeholders
  • Report to parent company in Japan, and execute business strategies as required
  • Any other duties, as required by the business needs of the Company

【Job Requirements】

  • At least 10 years work experience in real estate industry
  • At least 5 years work experience in management position
  • Extensive knowledge and tracking records of business planning and general affairs
  • Strong ability to implement strategic business plans suited for the Company
  • Strong background in customer management
  • Experience in general management
  • High proficiency in Business level English skill (both written and spoken) to negotiate with relavant stakeholders in Singapore
  • High proficiency in Business level Japanese skill (both written and spoken) to negotiate with Japan Headquarters and clients
  • Team player and ability to maintain positive working relationship with internal and external parties
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent analytical abilities and problem-solving skills
  • Strong knowledge in auditing and finance, experience with overseas projects is highly desired
  • Relationship management skills and openness to feedback
  • Excellent negotiation skills
  • Good time management skills
  • Presentation skills
  • Detail-oriented and highly organised
