- Building a learning culture where WH staff owns their own learning being self-driven, independent learners, skilful in using technology for learning
- Driving the personal and professional capability development of WH staff through strategic learning consultancy and evidence-based interventions, enabling them to do their job well, grow as healthcare professionals, and future-proof for tomorrow's healthcare
- Supporting the development of WH staff as leaders at all levels through facilitated learning experiences and capability development programmes.
Responsibilities
Specific Strategic Implementation of WH as a Learning Health System
- Translate comprehensive people development, capability development and leadership development strategies into actionable learning solutions aligned with organisational strategic priorities.
- Support strategic workforce planning and development initiatives by designing targeted learning interventions for WH staff to be future-proofed, do their job well, do their job better and do their job differently.
- Drive innovation in learning methodologies and technologies through strategic learning consultancy and implementation of effective learning solutions.
- Build a strong learning culture where WH staff owns their own learning being self-driven, independent learners, skilful in using technology for learning through facilitated programmes and blended learning approaches.
- Support the evaluation of the impact of learning interventions at WH level through comprehensive measurement frameworks and data analysis.
- Lead cross-functional strategic initiatives within P&OD that integrate learning solutions with operational processes and organisational change management.
Operational Excellence in Learning Solutions
- Act as WH's internal learning consultant, providing expert advice on learning strategy, capability development, and technology integration to support organisational transformation initiatives.
- Translate organisational needs into comprehensive learning strategies, frameworks, and technology-enabled interventions that address critical capability gaps.
- Lead the integration of digital learning platforms, AI-enabled learning tools, microlearning, augmented/virtual/mixed reality, and other cutting-edge technologies into WH's learning ecosystem.
- Lead strategic reviews of learning effectiveness and implement data-driven improvements to enhance organisational outcomes.
Programme Development & Facilitation
- Design and develop strategic learning programmes incorporating instructional design principles, adult learning methodologies, and appropriate learning technologies to create engaging learning experiences.
- Create and refine training programmes and materials for various learning and development needs of the organisation through in-house development, curation of external programmes, or partnership development.
- Partner with internal WH programme owners and/or external learning providers in curriculum development, incorporating blended learning approaches, adaptive learning technologies, implementation strategies and evaluation methodologies.
- Facilitate high-impact learning programmes, workshops, and strategic capability development sessions for various stakeholder groups across WH and NHG.
- Deliver train-the-trainer programmes to build internal facilitation capability across the WH family.
- Utilise advanced facilitation techniques and learning technologies to create engaging, interactive learning experiences.
- Mentor and coach internal facilitators to enhance their delivery capabilities.
Stakeholder Engagement & Strategic Partnerships
- Support cross-functional collaboration with HR, Operations, and Family Groups to integrate learning solutions into day-to-day operational processes.
- Evaluate and develop strategic partnerships with learning providers, academic institutions, and industry bodies to advance WH's learning capabilities.
- Lead innovation initiatives in learning methodologies and technologies to maintain competitive advantage in capability development.
- Negotiate strategic agreements and manage key vendor relationships to support long-term learning objectives.
- Stay abreast of emerging trends in learning technology and adult learning methodologies.
General
- Coordinate and support related projects under the department's responsibility and undertake its related work working with internal and external stakeholders.
- Work hand-in-hand with the P&OD team to contribute to cross-team projects or organisation-wide projects.
Qualifications
Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field with a minimum of 6 - 8 years of progressive experience in learning and development, with at least 1 - 3 years in strategic planning and management roles, preferably within a healthcare or learning environment
Required Skills
- Deep expertise in adult learning principles, instructional design, and learning methodologies
- Experience in programme facilitation and stakeholder engagement within complex organisational environments
- Knowledge of learning technologies and their application in blended learning environments
