Job Summary
The Senior Manager of the Singapore Rail Test Centre (SRTC) leads the effective operation, maintenance, and governance of SRTC facilities, ensuring safety, operational excellence, and compliance. This role supports strategic growth and capability development in collaboration with the Business Development team.
Responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day operations of SRTC facilities, including testing tracks, workshops, and mid-life refurbishment facilities to ensure seamless service delivery
- Ensure safe, reliable, and efficient execution of testing and maintenance services by enforcing operational standards and protocols
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives by implementing operational best practices to enhance facility performance and service quality
- Oversee resource planning, asset management, and maintenance programs to optimize facility utilization and longevity
- Ensure compliance with local and international safety, operational, and regulatory standards through rigorous governance and risk management processes
- Maintain robust risk management frameworks to safeguard high-value infrastructure and testing activities
- Prepare detailed operational and compliance reports for senior management and regulatory authorities to support transparency and accountability
- Lead and develop a multidisciplinary operations and engineering team by fostering a safety-first, high-performance culture focused on innovation and service excellence
- Collaborate with the Business Development team and other corporate functions to support Centre-wide initiatives and strategic objectives
- Support senior leadership and the Business Development team in building and maintaining relationships with government agencies, OEMs, research institutes, and other partners
- Assist in tenders, external forums, and industry engagements to enhance the Centre's profile and business opportunities
- Provide operational insights and resource assessments during business development discussions to ensure feasibility and readiness for new services and projects
