Job Description

We are looking for a Senior Manager, Marketing Communications to join RQAM.

This role is responsible for leading RQAM's marketing communications, branding, corporate communications, community engagement and placemaking initiatives across its managed assets.

The role oversees integrated communications and engagement across digital and physical touchpoints, including marketing campaigns, media relations, internal communications, stakeholder materials and the By The Bay (BTB) platform, to enhance the profile, vibrancy and experience of the portfolio.

The role also manages departmental priorities, budgets, performance tracking and team deliverables, working closely with Management, internal departments, tenants, shareholders and external partners to support RQAM's strategic and portfolio objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Marketing Communications, Brand and Corporate Communications

  • Develop and lead marketing communications strategies aligned with corporate, portfolio and asset objectives.
  • Oversee portfolio branding, corporate communications, media relations, press releases and external communications.
  • Support internal communications, management updates, shareholder communications and key presentation materials.

Community Engagement, Placemaking and Portfolio Activation

  • Develop and lead community engagement, placemaking and portfolio activation initiatives across RQAM's managed assets.
  • Work with government agencies, tenants, local organisations, vendors and partners on relevant community programmes and events.
  • Identify opportunities to activate common spaces and portfolio touchpoints through meaningful programming and partnerships.

Digital Engagement and By The Bay App

  • Oversee the By The Bay (BTB) app as a digital engagement platform for tenants and the wider portfolio community.
  • Drive user adoption, participation and engagement across the BTB digital ecosystem.
  • Work with internal teams and external partners on digital content, promotions, platform enhancements and performance insights.

Marketing, Promotions, Content and Commercial Media

  • Develop and oversee integrated marketing, promotional, content and social media strategies.
  • Lead key campaigns to support portfolio positioning, retail performance, footfall and community engagement.
  • Manage agency partnerships, media and activation spaces, marketing systems and relevant vendor contracts.

Department Planning, Performance, Budgeting and Team Management

  • Establish departmental priorities, workplans, budgets and performance measures.
  • Prepare updates and materials for Management, ExCo, Board and shareholder meetings.
  • Lead and develop the Marketing Communications team, while promoting strong cross-functional collaboration.

Requirements

  • Degree in Mass Communication, Marketing, Business or a related discipline.
  • 8 to 10 years of experience in marketing communications, corporate communications, digital marketing or related fields, preferably in commercial real estate, retail, lifestyle, placemaking or asset management.
  • Strong experience in brand strategy, integrated marketing campaigns, digital/social media, stakeholder communications and programme management.
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills in English and Chinese.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage Management, shareholders, tenants, partners, agencies and internal teams.
  • Prior team leadership experience, with a creative, proactive, organised and adaptable working style.
