What The Role Is
The Partnership Lab team at NYC drives strategic partnerships and initiatives in support of youth action and development. As a Senior Manager/Manager, you will lead efforts to generate partnerships for DISCOVER, NYC's youth resource and opportunities platform; and contribute efforts towards the advancement of the national youth mentoring movement — Mentoring SG. You will spearhead programmes and partnerships that equip youth with the skills, networks and opportunities needed to thrive; fostering environments where young people can explore their potential, develop meaningful connections, and take purposeful action.
What You Will Be Working On
Programme Development & Engagement
- Lead the design and implementation of youth transition programmes that address emerging needs, leveraging data insights and best practices to enhance effectiveness.
- Drive strategic partnerships across the People, Public and Private sectors to create diverse opportunities and transition pathways for youth.
- Build sectoral capability by developing training materials, toolkits and resources in collaboration with partners and subject matter experts.
- Plan and execute events, workshops and large-scale programmes that upskill the sector, facilitate networking, and bring together youth, mentors and community stakeholders.
Stakeholder Engagement & Partnership Management
- Cultivate and strengthen strategic relationships with government agencies, educational institutions, corporates and community partners to address identified youth needs and systemic gaps.
- Orchestrate engagement strategies for mentors, mentees, youth-at-large and partners, including marketing and communications campaigns for both inbound and outbound partnership leads.
- Drive cross-sector collaborations to create integrated support systems for youth in transition.
- Engage youth directly to understand their evolving needs and co-create relevant, impactful solutions.
Grant & Resource Management
- Oversee the administration of grants and funding schemes supporting youth transition initiatives.
- Evaluate funding applications to ensure alignment with strategic objectives, while maintaining proper governance, accountability and impact measurement.
What We Are Looking For
Requirements
- At least 3–5 years of experience in youth development, social services, education or related fields. Candidates with more than 5 years of relevant experience may be considered for the Senior Manager position.
- Proven track record in leading strategic initiatives and managing partnerships across multiple sectors.
- Strong experience in programme design, including the development of monitoring, evaluation and impact measurement frameworks.
- Experience in grant management and administration and familiarity with youth mentoring models or youth transition frameworks will be advantageous
- Willingness to work on weekends when required.
