What The Role Is

You will be part of the Human Resource & Organisational Development (HROD) team within the Corporate Services Division that seeks to establish itself as a trusted and strategic partner to NYC divisions, aiming to position NYC as the employer of choice for individuals who are passionate about youth development.

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Manager/ Manager (HROD) to drive strategic HR initiatives and foster a thriving organisational culture at NYC. In this pivotal role, you will lead the development and implementation of policies and strategies across key areas, directly contributing to NYC's strategic outcomes.

What You Will Be Working On

1. Learning Development

  • Strategically design and implement innovative learning and development strategies, leveraging analytics to ensure alignment with organisational goals and values, and cultivating a culture of continuous growth.
  • Collaborate closely with divisions to proactively identify learning needs and critical functional competencies, subsequently rolling out targeted learning strategies and programmes that enhance employee capabilities.
  • Curate and develop comprehensive resources and pathways to empower employees in their competency development and career progression.
  • Rigorously evaluate the effectiveness and impact of learning initiatives, providing data-driven recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Maintain a keen awareness of emerging learning methodologies, technologies, and best practices, integrating them to ensure NYC remains at the forefront of innovation.

    2. Organisation Development
  • Lead the development and execution of impactful organisational development strategies and initiatives, including new employee onboarding, Staff Induction Programmes, Townhalls, and other organisation-wide events, to significantly enhance organisational performance, employee wellbeing, and overall employee experience, fostering a positive and inclusive work culture.
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of quantitative and qualitative feedback from organisational assessment surveys to identify key organisational strengths and opportunities for growth.
  • Provide expert guidance and strategic advice to business unit leaders on culture building and change management, collaborating to develop and implement effective initiatives.
  • Design and implement compelling internal communication strategies and initiatives that convey messages with purpose, clarity, and impact across the organisation.

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant HR experience for Senior Manager, or 1 year for Manager, with a strong preference for expertise in Learning & Development and/ or Organisational Development.

  • Good stakeholder partnership skills, with a proven ability to empathise, navigate diverse viewpoints, build strong relationships, and achieve mutually beneficial outcomes with both internal and external partners.
  • Highly resourceful and adaptable, with the ability to thrive and drive results in a fast-paced, evolving work environment.
  • Curious with a strong growth mindset, eager to learn, experiment with new ideas, and continuously improve or streamline work processes.
  • Experience or interest in driving HR Analytics, process review, Robotic Process Automation (RPA) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) will be an advantage.
